What does CCLD do in Colorado?

CCLD plays an important part in the design and development of several state-wide professional-development opportunities. Members get reduced registration fees for most CCLD sponsored events.

  • Math on the "Planes"® links assessment and evidenced-based instructional practices in the teaching/learning cycle embedded within RtI.
  • Courage to Risk focuses on how special and general education teachers can provide opportunities for success for students with disabilities.
  • Reading in the Rockies CCLD has a reciprocal agreement with IDA. CCLD members may attend Reading in the Rockies at a reduced membership rate and IDA members may attend Math on the "Planes" at the CCLD membership rate.
  • Colorado Odyssey Project® provides a series of classes and a culminating conference designed to provide in-depth training for general and special education teachers. Recent classes have provided a year-long focus on the 5 components of reading.
